It may not be Fall yet, but that’s not stopping us from tapping the Pumpkin Ales. Just a week ago, we had Weyerbacher Imperial Pumpkin and this weekend, we’re kickin’ off with two, Evolution Brewing Company Jacques Au Lantern and yes, the ever so famous, Dogfish Head Punkin Ale! Here’s a little guide to the two, along with some Ratings!
Jacques Au Lantern
This fall seasonal is an unfiltered amber ale brewed with pumpkin and spices. They later add roasted pumpkin to the mash and traditional pumpkin pie spices to the kettle, and then ferment with a Belgian yeast strain. Here’s what Beer Advocate and Rate Beer have to say about this beer!
Dogfish Head Punkin Ale
A full-bodied brown ale with smooth hints of pumpkin and brown sugar. Dogfish Head brew their Punkin Ale with pumpkin meat, brown sugar and spices. As the season cools, this is the perfect beer to warm up with. Here’s what Beer Advocate and Rate Beer have to say about this beer!
