Local beer and local music join forces.

Phoenixville, PA – 3/3/2016 – Chester County roots-jam band Mason Porter are excited to announce Porter Fest, a new collaboration with area brewery Sly Fox. Sly Fox have brewed a special new porter in honor of their favorite local band, Mason Porter. Together they will be celebrating the release of the beer with Porter Fest at Club 212 in Phoenixville on March 12th. This celebration of music and beer will feature a headlining performance by Mason Porter as well as sets by Tin Bird Choir and The Wallace Brothers Band.

The band and the brewery have a long history together. One of the band’s very first shows was a gig at brewmaster Brian O’Reilly’s 40th birthday party. Since then, the band has grown to become a regional powerhouse releasing several albums, touring regularly in the northeast and south and receiving national press attention for their albums and energetic live shows. They have performed multiple times at Sly Fox’s annual Can Jam Music Festival at the brewery in Pottstown and have become a fixture at area festivals such as the Philadelphia Folk Festival.

Sly Fox Brewing Company is a state-of-the-art regional craft production brewery with an adjoining tasting room in Pottstown, PA, opened in 2012 to complement its 20-year-old brewpub in nearby Phoenixville, PA. With current distribution in six states, including Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia, Sly Fox has continued to grow in popularity since its first brew in 1995.
